Flashback: When Obama-Era DOJ Killed the Clinton Foundation Probe, Some FBI Investigators Were Furious
On Friday, I addressed new reports that federal officials may be revisiting the Clinton email scandal — writing that while serious questions remain about some of the curious irregularities surrounding the original investigation (which resulted in no charges), Democrats may have a point when they suggest that President Trump’s ostentatious public demands for a new probe of ‘Crooked Hillary’ call into question the apolitical nature of the DOJ’s decisions. Trump’s critics are leveling the same accusation over the revelation that the Clinton Foundation is also receiving renewed legal scrutiny. In case you missed it last week, here are the basics of that development:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s comments related to tax savings have changed dramatically over the past seven years: She previously lavished praise on former President Barack Obama’s $40 payroll tax cut, but now dismisses the $1,000 bonuses doled out by corporate America as a result of the recently signed GOP tax overhaul.
The wealthy California lawmaker called legislation extending a $40 payroll tax cut in 2011 a “victory for all Americans” and attributed the accomplishment to “Obama’s leadership.”
“160 million Americans will continue to receive their payroll tax cut — nearly $40 per paycheck in the pockets of the average family. I salute the work of the unified House Democratic caucus on behalf of the American people,” Pelosi said of the tax cut in a 2011 statement.
These comments stand in stark contrast to Pelosi’s dismissal of Walmart’s $1,000 bonuses announced Thursday, that were facilitated by the company’s tax savings. When asked about evidence of the tax bill’s immediate positive impact, Pelosi called the seniority based bonuses of up to $1,000 “crumbs.”
More than two million American workers have received bonuses — some ranging as high as $3,000 — thanks to the Republican tax bill, according to a listfrom Americans for Tax Reform.
Pelosi is not alone in belittling Americans’ new found tax savings. Prominent Democrats have returned to a common refrain as the effects of the sweeping tax reform begin to take shape, casting wage increases, expanded bonuses and benefits as meaningless handouts from corporations.

You probably don’t remember that time President Barack Obama called Libya a “shit show,” right?
That’s because the media was virtually silent on it.
And to make matters even worse, when Obama made the comments, he was blaming David Cameron for turning Libya into a “shit show.”
👉But Obama calling a country a #ShitShow is Presidential/good
Now I got it
Thanks for the clearing things up Libtards 👍
The liberal media clearly has selective rage.
During the 2016 campaign trail, Bill Clinton referred to Southern American Trump supporters as “your standard redneck” and there was ZERO outrage from the media.
A report from conservative watchdog Judicial Watch, from June 2013, which was just months after former President Barack Obama announced his “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA) program, revealed that Homeland Security had abandoned background checks on illegal aliens in order to meet amnesty requests.
“Documents Reveal that ‘Dreamers’ Order Opened Door to Relatives of Illegal Immigrants, “Inundating” Border Towns with Petitions for Admission,” Judicial Watch reported.
Tuesday evening, a federal judge in California, Judge William Alsup, ruled to temporarily block the Trump administration from ending Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, saying that the Department of Homeland Security’s “decision to rescind DACA was based on a flawed legal premise.”
When President Donald Trump warned North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un from Twitter this week that, “I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”, he wasn’t lying. The U.S. is estimated to have some 6,800 extremely reliable and devastatingly accurate nuclear warheads that may be launched in a matter of moments to strike anywhere in the world.
However, all of this apocalyptic firepower does the world’s most technologically advanced nuclear power no good if the “nuclear button” won’t work or — heaven forbid — someone loses it. That is precisely the boneheaded mistake that occurred in early 2000 when President Bill Clinton did the unthinkable and lost the nuclear launch codes required to authorize a nuclear strike, leaving the U.S. open to complete annihilation.
